Tree Cabling & Bracing
Engineered Support That Saves Great Trees
Some trees are too valuable to lose and too weak to leave alone. Our steel cabling and bracing systems share the load — so heritage trees stand safe for decades.
What The Service Entails
Stabilise, Don’t Amputate
Cabling limits movement between weakly attached limbs; bracing bolts split trunks back together. Both follow ANSI A300 structural-support standards and start with a load assessment — we engineer the system to the tree, not the other way around.
- ✓ Structural assessment & load rating
- ✓ Dynamic and static steel cable systems
- ✓ Threaded-rod bracing for split trunks
- ✓ Lightning protection for landmark trees
- ✓ Weight-reduction pruning to suit
- ✓ Scheduled inspections & re-tensioning
Is It Right For Your Tree?
Cabling Candidates
V-shaped unions
Tight V-forks with included bark are the classic split risk. Cables share wind loads across the union.
Heritage specimens
When a landmark jacaranda or fig can’t be replaced in a lifetime, engineered support buys decades.
Storm-weakened trees
Partial splits that haven’t failed completely can often be braced, pruned and monitored instead of felled.
Galvanised systems run 15–20 years; dynamic synthetic systems around 10. We inspect annually and re-tension or replace before wear becomes risk.
Usually around half the cost of a complex removal — and you keep the shade, the habitat and the property value a mature tree provides.
