Tree Trimming & Pruning
Precise Pruning for Safer, Healthier Canopies
Good pruning is part science, part craft. Our climbers remove what's dead, diseased or dangerous — and shape the rest for decades of healthy growth.
What The Service Entails
More Than Just Cutting Branches
Every pruning job starts with a canopy assessment from a qualified arborist. We identify structural faults, competing leaders, deadwood and clearance risks, then prune to Australian Standard AS 4373 — never topping, never lion-tailing, never more than the tree can handle in one season.
- ✓ Deadwood and diseased limb removal
- ✓ Crown thinning for light and airflow
- ✓ Weight reduction over roofs and driveways
- ✓ Clearance pruning from houses and powerlines
- ✓ Formative pruning for young trees
- ✓ Full chip, mulch and green-waste removal
Our Method
How A Pruning Job Runs
01
Canopy assessment
We map faults, targets and wildlife habitat before a single cut.
02
Exclusion zones
Drop zones, mats and barriers protect gardens, roofs and driveways.
03
Climb & prune
Roped climbing or EWP, rigged lowering, clean collar cuts throughout.
04
Chip & rake
Everything chipped on site, lawns raked and blown, mulch offered back.
Why prune instead of remove?
A well-pruned mature tree adds tens of thousands to property value, shades your home through summer and stores serious carbon. Removal costs more than pruning — and you lose the tree. We prune first and only recommend removal when retention is genuinely unsafe.
Late winter suits most natives and deciduous trees, but deadwood can come out any time. Flowering species are pruned right after blooming.
Not when done to standard. Correct collar cuts compartmentalise quickly; topping and flush cuts cause decay. That difference is why qualifications matter.
